Tong-Nou is the island in which Eastern Mind: The Lost Souls of Tong-Nou takes place. Various fabulous & mysterious creatures live here. It resembles a giant, green head and it has several locations in different parts of the head:
- Ming-ken, the Land of Life,
- Mon-chien, the Land of Dreaming,
- Yui-wang, the Land of Desire,
- Shi-chieng, the Land of Time, and
- Tong-nou, the Central Mountain.

Tong-Nou was originally created by the five Elements to stabilize the souls of troubled humans, and it became sacred. Once a year the island called for weak souls to restore to healthy souls. At some point, Tong-Nou suddenly changed from a soul-healing island to a soul-eating one, so people have come to fear it.
